The Zinghoppers now broadcasting worldwide on Smile of a Child TV!
Joins world’s largest religious network on new kids channel aimed at homeschoolers
We’re very excited to announce that the Zinghoppers music video series, “Totally, Zinghoppers!” will now be airing daily on Smile of a Child TV (SoaC), a Christian children’s channel affiliated with Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).
Smile of a Child TV offers children’s programming aimed at homeschoolers 24 hours per day, seven days a week. It can also be seen on the channel’s website and airs a day long block of programming Saturdays on the major American television network TBN.
TBN is the world’s largest religious network and America’s most watched faith channel.
Although it is primarily a Christian-based network, Smile of a Child has acquired some secular programming from outside producers such as the Zinghoppers.
“Independent programs selected to air must have a strong educational platform which is why the Zinghoppers are such a good fit for Smile of a Child,” explained David Axelrod, an associate of the Zinghoppers.
“Zinghoppers co-stars and co-creators Jack and Kitty Norton are educators first, and musicians second. When they heard about the platform of a 24/7 channel devoted to homeschoolers and quality educational programming, it seemed like a natural fit,” added Axelrod.
“Our mission with the Zinghoppers is simple: to engage, educate and entertain as many preschool age children as we can,” show co-creator Kitty Norton said.
“Working with Smile of a Child brings us into countries throughout the Middle East, Asia, India, Europe and North and Central America. It’s very exciting,” she added.
Husband and co-creator Jack Norton added, “we were thrilled that the network picked up our show with no changes to the content, no edits and our fun, positive, quirky preschool hip-hop and dance pop firmly intact.”
Jack continued, “our core fans will be excited to hear about this new relationship, and we’re excited that our reach will grow through this incredible platform.”
Smile of a Child is available in the US on DirecTV and Dish Network and throughout North and Central America as a free to air channel on Galaxy 14 C-band, Galaxy 19 Ku band and available with Glorystar Christian Satellite. Internationally, SoaC is on the Hot Bird satellite in Europe, ABS1 satellite to Asia, India and the Middle East, and Agila 2 both C-band and Ku band signal in some areas of Asia and the Philippines.

Zhops residency at prestigious Boiler Room Theatre announced
Nashville folk!! We’re very excited to announce that we have been offered a four week residency at the prestigious Boiler Room Theatre this winter.
As some of you may know, we’ve been developing a radio show that will be made available to broadcasters nationwide. We’ll be using the concerts at the Boiler Room Theatre as an opportunity to record the show with a live audience. The concerts will kinda be like “A Grand Ole Opry for preschoolers” or “A Prairie Home Companion for toddlers”…all with a kid-friendly hip-hop vibe. You know, a lot of singing, dancing, and merry making - with tons of special guests, comedy, skits and more!
Tickets will go on sale soon. In the meantime - mark yo’ calendars…dates are: February 16, 23, March 2 and 9, 2013.
